Our Core Values

In a lot of ways our core values are like our DNA, it’s what makes us who we are. At Bethany our core values are simple but have profound implications. We have three core values (spirituality, mission, and community). As a church we try to live at the center where all three overlap, because when these three things are present the Kingdom of God becomes tangible in our lives and in the world around us.

Spirituality

Spirituality represents the steps we take to connect with God. Some of the things we do to build this relationship are prayer, worship, reading, and listening. Our spiritual connection, or communion with God, is not limited to Sunday service experience only but is something that we practice in our daily lives. Spirituality is usually a deeply personal thing for Christians.

Mission

Mission is God’s call to Christians everywhere to join in His redemptive work in every aspect of life. We do this by bringing the good news of Jesus to people who don't have a relationship with God and by making God's love tangible through acts of blessing. Mission makes the Gospel tangible and real in our lives and the lives of the people around us.

Community

Community is all about God uniting diverse people in His redemptive work through Jesus. Community is about associating with all types of people who are not always like us. Community isn’t hanging out with Christian friends only. Community is the product of people resolving to love and serve everyone around them.
